What happens after import?
How to download your Groww Order History.
Sign in to the Groww app
Open Groww and sign in to the account whose stock or options order history you want to journal.
Open Profile and Reports
Open your Profile, select Reports and go to the Transactions section.
Choose Order History
Select Order History, choose the date range that contains the trades you want to import and generate the report.
Download the XLSX report
Click Download to save the Groww Order History report as an XLSX file. Keep its original headers and column structure unchanged before uploading it to QbarTrade.
Use Order History. In Groww, open Profile → Reports → Transactions → Order History, then download the XLSX file for your required date range.
Keep the file unchanged. Upload the downloaded Groww XLSX file with its original headers and columns intact so QbarTrade can process the order executions accurately.
Upload and validate your Groww trades.
Follow these 12 steps inside QbarTrade to transform Groww Order History into a clean, reviewable trade journal.
Open Trades
From the QbarTrade sidebar, open Trades.
Open the import menu
Use the three-dot menu beside the Add button and select Import trades.
Add the Groww Order History file
Select Add file and upload the XLSX Order History report downloaded from Groww.
Assign the broker account
Select the Groww broker account that produced the imported trades. This keeps broker-specific trades and analytics organised correctly.
Review the imported rows
QbarTrade displays the mapped trades before final import. Review the instrument, side, quantity, segment, entry, exit, duration, stop-loss, P&L and strategy fields.
Resolve validation warnings
Rows may be marked valid, invalid, needs broker or needs instrument. Correct the missing information or remove rows that do not represent actual trade executions.
Remove unwanted rows
Select invalid or irrelevant rows and use the delete action to exclude them from the final import. Examples include disclaimer text interpreted as a row, empty lines, summary rows, unmapped instruments, or non-trade information.
Merge related executions
Select related trades and use Merge when multiple executions belong to one completed trading idea or round-trip. A merged round-trip can preserve the individual entry, scale-up, scale-down and exit legs while showing the combined position as one reviewable trade.
Edit trade details
Use the edit action to correct the instrument or add broker account, strategy, notes, stop-loss price and charges or taxes.
Save the changes
Save the edited row after confirming the corrected trade information.
Confirm the import
When the valid rows are ready, select Confirm & Import to add them to the QbarTrade trading journal.
View all imported trades
Return to the Trades page and use the All filter to review imported open and closed trades.
Turn execution rows into reviewable trades.
Validate trade rows
Review which rows contain usable execution data and identify rows that require broker or instrument information.
Connect executions into round-trips
Combine related entries, additions, reductions and exits so a complete position can be reviewed as one trading outcome.
Preserve individual trade legs
The complete round-trip can retain its underlying fills, helping you understand how the position was built and closed.
Add strategy context
Assign a strategy so later analysis can compare outcomes across your repeated trading setups.
Add risk and cost details
Add stop-loss and charges or taxes where required so the journal reflects more than gross price movement.
Analyse performance
Evaluate key journal metrics including Net P&L, Win rate, Profit factor, Expectancy per trade, Average R multiple, Maximum drawdown, Equity curve, Daily net P&L, Average win, Average loss, Win and loss streaks, Performance by weekday, and Top traded symbols.
One trading idea can contain several Groww executions.
Scaling into a stock, adding quantity at a second price, partially exiting and closing the remaining position can create several execution rows in Order History. Reviewing each row separately can hide the outcome of the complete decision. QbarTrade lets related executions be combined into one round-trip while preserving the underlying legs for audit and review.
Round-Trip Example
Common Groww Order History import issues.
The broker is not assigned
Select your Groww broker account before confirming the import. This ensures the imported executions are connected to the correct account.
An instrument is not linked
Search for and select the correct NSE or BSE stock or options instrument. Unlinked instruments may have limited chart or analytics functionality.
The wrong Groww report was uploaded
Use the Order History XLSX report from Profile → Reports → Transactions. A P&L statement, holdings report, balance statement or contract note may not contain the execution-level columns expected by the importer.
Some historical trades are missing
Check the date range selected in Groww Order History. Download and import additional XLSX files when the required activity is split across different periods.
The file format was converted
Upload the original Groww XLSX download. Converting or editing columns in external spreadsheet software may introduce formatting errors.
The P&L does not match
Check whether you are comparing the same date range, open or closed trades, gross or net P&L, missing brokerage or taxes, incorrect entry or exit mapping, unmerged execution legs, or different date filters.
Scale-in trades appear separately
Select only the executions that belong to the same completed position and use Merge to create one round-trip.
A row has the wrong strategy
Open the row editor and assign the strategy that accurately represents the original trading setup.

Groww Trade Import FAQ
Which Groww file should I import into QbarTrade?+
Use the Order History report available under Profile → Reports → Transactions in Groww. Download the report as an XLSX file so QbarTrade can read the structured order rows.
How do I download Groww Order History?+
Sign in to the Groww app or web dashboard, open Profile, go to Reports → Transactions, select Order History, choose the required date range and download the XLSX file.
Can I import older Groww trades?+
Yes. Select the relevant date range in Groww Order History. When your trading history spans multiple periods, download separate XLSX files and import them into QbarTrade sequentially.
Can I import Groww stock and options trades?+
This workflow is intended for supported stock and options rows contained in the Groww Order History report. Review the instrument and segment mapping for every row before confirming the import.
Why are some Groww rows marked invalid?+
A row may be missing an instrument, contain non-trade text, have incomplete execution data or require broker assignment. Review the warning and correct the row or remove it if it is not an actual trade.
Can I merge multiple Groww executions?+
Yes. When several executions belong to the same completed trading idea, select them and merge them into one round-trip while retaining the underlying execution legs.
Can I edit a Groww trade before importing it?+
Yes. The review screen allows fields such as instrument, broker account, strategy, notes, stop-loss and charges or taxes to be reviewed or corrected before final import.
Why does my imported P&L differ from Groww?+
Check whether you are comparing the same date range, open or closed trades, gross or net P&L, and whether charges, taxes and all execution legs are included correctly.
Does importing trades allow QbarTrade to place Groww orders?+
No. Importing an Order History report is used for journaling and analysis. It does not give QbarTrade permission to place, modify or execute orders in your Groww account.
Should I upload a Groww contract note or Order History report?+
Use the Order History XLSX report for this import workflow. Contract notes are day-wise confirmations and are better suited to record-keeping than a multi-day structured trade import.
