Use the BizOps trade report. Open Reports → Other Reports → Client Dashboard → BO Reports, then select Reports → Trade → Trade Details & Summary.

PART 2 · IMPORT INTO QBARTRADE

Upload and validate your Motilal Oswal trades.

Follow these 12 steps inside QbarTrade to transform Motilal Oswal execution rows into a clean, reviewable trading journal.

STEP 01

Open Trades

From the QbarTrade sidebar, open Trades.

STEP 02

Open the import menu

Use the three-dot menu beside the Add button and select Import trades.

STEP 03

Add the Motilal Oswal report

Select Add file and upload the original Excel Trade Details & Summary report downloaded or received from Motilal Oswal BizOps.

STEP 04

Assign the broker account

Select the Motilal Oswal broker account that produced the report. This keeps broker-specific trades and analytics organised correctly.

STEP 05

Review the mapped executions

QbarTrade displays the mapped rows before final import. Review the exchange, instrument, product, side, quantity, trade price, trade time, segment, entry, exit, P&L and strategy fields.

STEP 06

Resolve validation warnings

Rows may be marked valid, invalid, needs broker or needs instrument. Correct missing information or remove rows that do not represent actual trade executions.

STEP 07

Remove report-only rows

Delete report headings, totals, blank rows, disclaimers or any other lines that are not execution records.

STEP 08

Merge related executions

Select related rows and use Merge when several executions belong to one completed trading idea. QbarTrade can preserve each entry, scale-up, scale-down and exit leg inside the combined round-trip.

STEP 09

Edit trade details

Use the edit action to correct the instrument or contract and add the broker account, strategy, notes, stop-loss price, charges or taxes where required.

STEP 10

Save the changes

Save the edited row after confirming that the corrected execution information is accurate.

STEP 11

Confirm the import

When the valid rows are ready, select Confirm & Import to add them to the QbarTrade trading journal.

STEP 12

Review imported trades

Return to the Trades page and use the All filter to review imported open and closed trades.

AFTER THE UPLOAD

Turn execution rows into reviewable trades.

Validate execution rows

Review which report rows contain usable trade data and identify rows that require broker, exchange or instrument information.

Connect executions into round-trips

Combine related entries, additions, reductions and exits so the complete position can be reviewed as one trading outcome.

Preserve order and trade context

Retain the underlying execution legs, including trade time, trade quantity, trade price, buy or sell side and related order identifiers.

Add strategy context

Assign a strategy so later analysis can compare outcomes across your repeated trading setups.

Add risk and cost details

Add stop-loss, brokerage, charges or taxes where required so the journal reflects more than gross price movement.

Analyse performance

Evaluate Net P&L, win rate, profit factor, expectancy, average R multiple, maximum drawdown, equity curve, daily net P&L, average win, average loss, streaks, weekday performance and top traded symbols.

ROUND-TRIP MERGING

One trading idea can contain several Motilal Oswal executions.

A position may include multiple entries, quantity additions, partial exits and a final close. The Motilal Oswal report can show these as separate execution rows with their own trade price, quantity, time and order identifiers. QbarTrade lets related rows be combined into one round-trip while preserving the underlying legs.

Round-Trip Example

Entry: Buy 1 shareExecution 1
Scale up: Buy 2 more sharesExecution 2
Scale down: Sell 1 shareExecution 3
Exit: Sell the remaining 2 sharesExecution 4
Result in QbarTrade:One completed round-trip with four preserved execution legs.
IMPORT TROUBLESHOOTING

Common Motilal Oswal trade-report import issues.

The wrong Motilal Oswal report was uploaded

Use BO Reports → Reports → Trade → Trade Details & Summary for execution-level history. A holdings report, ledger, capital-gains summary or margin statement serves a different purpose.

Only the current-day Trade Book is visible

The trading platform Trade Book is useful for completed trades, but historical imports should be generated from the BizOps back-office Trade Details & Summary report.

The exchange or segment is missing

Check the exchange filter used while generating the report. Motilal Oswal accounts may include NSE, BSE, NSE F&O, currency derivatives, MCX and other enabled exchanges.

Some historical trades are missing

Check the selected from and to dates and the exchange filter. Generate additional reports when your activity spans different periods or exchanges.

The Excel file was edited or converted

Upload the original BizOps workbook. Renaming headers, deleting worksheets, converting date or number formats, or copying rows into a new workbook can prevent accurate mapping.

An instrument or contract is not linked

Search for and select the correct equity, futures, options, currency or commodity instrument. Pay close attention to expiry, strike price and option type for derivative contracts.

The P&L does not match Motilal Oswal

Check the same date range and exchange, open versus closed positions, gross versus net P&L, brokerage and charges, and whether every related entry and exit has been included and merged.

Scale-in trades appear separately

Select only the executions that belong to the same completed position and use Merge to create one round-trip.

A row has the wrong strategy

Open the row editor and assign the strategy that accurately represents the original trading setup.
