Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 July 2026

Your trades and your data are yours. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the control you have over it.

1. Who we are

QbarTrade (“QbarTrade”, “we”, “us”) provides a plan-first trading journal and analytics software for traders. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to qbartrade.com and the QbarTrade app.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information — name, email, and password (stored hashed) when you register.
  • Trade & journal data — trades you import or that are synced read-only from a connected broker, plus notes, tags and plans you create.
  • Payment information — processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card details on our servers.
  • Usage & device data — pages viewed, actions taken, browser type, and approximate location, collected via analytics.
  • Cookies — used to keep you signed in and to measure and improve the product.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide, maintain and improve the journal, analytics and broker-sync features.
  • To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • To process subscriptions and send service-related communications.
  • To understand product usage and fix problems.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Broker connections & trade data

When you connect a broker, QbarTrade accesses your trade and order data on a read-only basis to journal and analyse it. QbarTrade is not a broker, does not custody your funds, and does not place trades on your behalf. Per SEBI regulations, third-party platforms cannot auto-execute orders for Indian brokers — you plan in QbarTrade, execute with your broker, and we sync the results back for journaling.

5. Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and analytics tools (including Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics) to run the site and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf (for example hosting, analytics and payment processing), when required by law, or as part of a business transfer. These providers are bound to use the data only to provide services to us.

7. Data security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, subject to legal retention requirements.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@qbartrade.com.

10. Children

QbarTrade is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
