Two ways to log a trade

Log the way you actually trade

Whether you place trades yourself or want them pulled in automatically, QbarTrade keeps every leg of a strategy together as one record.

No manual entry

Auto-import from your order book

Upload your broker's order book or trade file and QbarTrade reads it. Individual option fills are auto-merged into their strategy — a short strangle, a bear call spread, an iron condor — so you review complete trades, not raw rows.

  • Reads Indian broker order books and tradebooks
  • Auto-detects and names the strategy from the legs
  • Merges scattered fills into a single basket
  • Flags anything that needs a second look before import
Full control, live chain

Build the basket by hand

Pick your underlying, expiry and strikes on a live NSE options chain, tap Buy/Sell on each strike, set your lots, and QbarTrade builds the basket and its net credit/debit for you.

  • Live NIFTY / BANKNIFTY / stock options chain
  • Any strike, any expiry, calls and puts
  • Net credit/debit calculated as you build
  • Risk limits and strategy rules checked at entry

Live demo — tap around

Build a real basket, right here

This is the same flow inside QbarTrade. Tap B or S on any strike — calls on the left, puts on the right — and watch the net credit and strategy name compute live.

Plan vs actual, and your real R

Did the trade go the way you planned?

Set per-leg stop-loss and target and a planned risk:reward, and QbarTrade shows you the R you actually achieved against the R you planned (+1.07R on a planned 1:1.99). Net premium, time held and fees sit alongside it. If you saved a trade with no plan, the journal says so — plainly — so you can't quietly skip that step.

Auto-import that understands option strategies

Import that reads options the way you do

Most tools dump every fill as a separate row. QbarTrade reads a broker order book, auto-creates baskets from your option fills, and labels each one — Short Strangle, Short Put, Bear Call Spread. It merges partial fills automatically, keeps a clear status on every trade, and warns you about missing dates or bad rows before anything lands in your journal.

Discipline built into the entry

Your risk rules, checked before the trade is saved

Every record shows your account risk at a glance — daily loss used against your limit, and current max drawdown against your cap. Attach a strategy and run its rules checklist, add your notes, and the trade is logged against the process you set for yourself, not just the numbers.

Review the decision, not just the result

Where trades turn into lessons

Every trade carries notes for each phase — a “During” note while it's on, a “Looking back” reflection after, and a prompt to answer “Why did I take this trade?”. Close each trade with a lesson, mark it reviewed, and QbarTrade builds a searchable record of your own reasoning — grouped by strategy, so you can see which setups actually reward you.

NIFTY Iron Condor

Booked a clean 1:1 RR profit today. I got scared when price moved toward one of my short strikes and nearly squared off early. I trusted my setup and risk management instead of reacting emotionally. Theta worked in my favor, and I exited at my target.

Lesson: Don’t let fear override a valid trading plan. Discipline pays.

Built for the strategies Indian option traders actually run

Every structure below is stored as one basket — with its net credit or debit, per-leg stop-loss and target, and the R you actually made.

Iron Condor

Sell an OTM call spread and put spread; log all four legs as one basket and track net credit, per-leg SL and R in a single trade.

Iron Fly / Butterfly

Three-strike structures around the ATM; see how theta and a move in the underlying played out leg by leg.

Short Straddle

ATM call and put sold together; track combined premium decay and the point where you defended or exited.

Short Strangle

OTM call and put; log adjustments and rolls without losing the original basket.

Bull Call / Bear Put

Directional debit spreads; compare strike width and expiry choices across trades.

Bull Put / Bear Call

Credit spreads; track net credit received against your planned risk on every trade.

Calendar Spread

Same strike, different expiries; log front-month decay against the back month.

Ratio & Custom

Any leg count, any combination — if you can build it on your terminal, you can journal it here.

Payoff shapes at expiry, drawn from each structure’s legs around a round at-the-money strike. Illustrative geometry only — not price quotes, and not a recommendation to trade any structure.

Questions traders actually search

Frequently asked questions

Is there a trading journal built for Indian options traders?

Yes — QbarTrade is built around NSE F&O. It logs multi-leg strategies as single baskets, supports NIFTY, BANKNIFTY and stock options, and imports directly from Indian broker order books.

Can I journal an iron condor or strangle as one trade?

Yes. Build all the legs on the options chain or let import merge your fills, and the whole strategy is stored as one basket with its net credit, per-leg SL/target and combined P&L.

Does it support NIFTY and BANKNIFTY options?

Yes — NIFTY, BANKNIFTY, FINNIFTY, MIDCPNIFTY and stock options, across weekly and monthly expiries.

Can I import trades from Zerodha or my broker automatically?

Yes. Upload your broker's order book or tradebook and QbarTrade auto-detects the strategy, merges the fills into baskets, and flags anything to review before it's imported.

Does it track per-leg stop-loss and target?

Yes — set a stop-loss and target on each leg, plus a planned risk:reward, and see the R you actually achieved versus the R you planned.

Can I track risk-reward and R-multiple on options trades?

Yes. Every trade shows planned R:R against achieved R, net premium, time held and fees.

Do I have to enter trades manually?

No. You can build a basket by hand on the live chain, or import from your broker's order book — whichever fits how you trade.

Does it work for futures, equity and commodity too?

Yes — Options, Futures, Equity, Commodity and Forex all live in the same account.
