How it works
Paytm Money's Pay Later MTF lets you buy eligible delivery stocks using your own margin plus broker funding. Current broker material advertises more than 1,000 MTF stocks, up to 4x leverage and funding of up to 75% of trade value, while the actual margin differs by stock.
A funded stock position should show how much capital came from you and how much came from Paytm Money instead of treating the full position value as your own investment.
Paytm Money calculates interest on broker-funded capital. Keeping that amount attached to the trade makes daily financing cost easier to estimate and reconcile.
Pay Later shares require pledge authorization after execution. That pledge status belongs in the journal because failure to complete it can change or close the position.
Figures shown on this page are illustrative. Current Paytm Money funding terms, margin requirements and charges can change.
The blind spot
A Pay Later trade does not stop changing after execution. Funding interest continues, the broker checks margin coverage and pledge status matters to whether the position can remain open.
Paytm Money uses book-size-based MTF pricing and has published different schedules across effective periods. Save the exact rate applicable to your account instead of applying one static percentage to every historical trade.
Interest can accrue each day while appearing in the ledger as a weekly entry. A journal should estimate carry from funded days rather than waiting for the next posting.
A falling stock can consume the margin supporting an MTF position. If coverage becomes insufficient, a margin call or Risk Team square-off can change the trade before your planned exit.
The fix
QbarTrade can keep the Pay Later execution, capital split, interest, holding duration and risk events in one position record so the final review reflects both the trade and the financing used to create it.
Save your contribution and Paytm Money-funded capital separately so leverage and interest calculations use the amount actually borrowed.
Use Paytm Money's MTF Ledger and Statements to verify the interest that ultimately posts against the funded trade.
Gross price profit is only one part of the outcome. Record interest, pledge costs and other applicable charges before evaluating net P&L.
Using it well
Paytm Money gives traders position P&L, an MTF stock list, MTF Ledger, daily MTF reports and margin information. QbarTrade becomes useful when those broker records stay connected to the individual trading decision.
Up to 4x is a maximum, not a universal ratio. Record the margin contribution and funded percentage actually used on that stock.
The MTF position is not only the buy order. Track whether the required pledge was completed so failed authorization is visible as an operational risk event.
Use weekly interest postings, MTF transactions and margin reports to validate funded capital and final cost before locking the trade's net result.
FAQ
Paytm Money Pay Later is its Margin Trading Facility for eligible equity stocks. You contribute the required margin and Paytm Money funds the remaining eligible amount, while interest is charged on the broker-funded portion.
A Paytm Money MTF trading journal keeps your own margin, broker-funded amount, holding days, interest, pledge status, margin shortfalls, charges and final net P&L attached to the funded trade instead of reviewing only the price movement.
Paytm Money currently publishes multiple MTF interest references across its official pages, including a 7.99% starting rate and slab-based pricing. It has also announced revised slabs effective from August 3, 2026. Because pricing changes by funding book size and effective date, use the live Paytm Money pricing or MTF statement for the rate actually applicable to your trade.
Paytm Money says MTF interest is calculated daily on the broker-funded amount rather than the full trade value. Keep funded capital, applicable interest rate and funded days together so the financing cost can be reconciled with the broker statement.

Paytm Money's current support documentation says MTF stocks can be held for up to 365 days, after which the broker can square off the position. Paytm Money also notes that it is working toward removing that threshold, so verify the latest holding rule before relying on a fixed tenure.

Paytm Money says an unpledged Pay Later position may be converted to delivery if sufficient funds are available. Otherwise, its Risk Team may square off the position within the following six days.
Paytm Money's current pricing page lists MTF pledge charges at ₹20 per transaction excluding GST. Pricing can change, so use the account tariff and contract note for the final journal cost.
