Separate your capital from m.Stock funding
A ₹1 lakh MTF position may use only part of your own capital while m.Stock funds the eligible balance. Keeping those two amounts separate makes leverage and financing cost visible.

How it works
m.Stock's Pay Later facility is built for funded equity delivery. The broker currently advertises up to 80% funding on 1,100+ stocks, while the financing rate depends on the amount funded. A useful m.Stock MTF journal therefore needs both the stock-level funding percentage and the account's applicable interest slab.
A ₹1 lakh MTF position may use only part of your own capital while m.Stock funds the eligible balance. Keeping those two amounts separate makes leverage and financing cost visible.
m.Stock currently publishes different MTF rates for funding up to ₹25 lakh, ₹25 lakh to ₹5 crore and above ₹5 crore. Save the rate that actually applied while the position was funded.
m.Stock does not currently impose a fixed Pay Later holding-period limit, but interest continues while funding remains outstanding. Time is therefore part of the trade cost.
Figures shown on this page are illustrative. Current m.Stock funding terms, margin requirements and charges can change.
The blind spot
Pay Later increases buying power, but the final trade depends on more than entry and exit price. Funding percentage, interest slab, holding duration, pledge cost and margin maintenance all affect the result QbarTrade should preserve.
m.Stock publishes a separate funding percentage and maximum exposure for each eligible security. Record the percentage used on the actual position instead of assuming the maximum.
A funded amount below ₹25 lakh currently sits in a different rate slab from funding above ₹25 lakh or ₹5 crore. Scaling the MTF book can therefore change the financing context.
There may be no fixed holding deadline, but every additional funded day adds interest. A profitable position can become less attractive when the actual holding period runs longer than planned.
The fix
QbarTrade keeps the m.Stock capital split, rate context, holding duration and final outcome on the trade itself. That makes the broker's MTF Ledger useful for reconciliation instead of leaving financing as separate account bookkeeping.
Position value alone cannot explain the leverage. Keep Your Capital and Funded by m.Stock as separate fields just like the broker's MTF calculator does.
Keep the applicable daily rate and funded days beside the position so the financing estimate grows with the actual life of the trade.
Subtract financing and recorded transaction costs from gross market P&L before deciding whether the m.Stock funded trade actually improved the result.
Using it well
m.Stock provides the stock list, calculator and MTF Ledger. The journal becomes useful when those broker numbers stay attached to the trading decision and can be compared across positions.
Funding percentages and maximum exposure differ by stock and can change. Save the percentage used when the position was opened rather than relying on a later stock list.
An unlimited holding window can encourage a short setup to become a long carry. Track the difference and the additional interest it created.
Use m.Stock's interest-payment and closing entries to verify the actual financing cost, then preserve the final number against the trade for future review.
FAQ
m.Stock Pay Later is its Margin Trading Facility for equity delivery trades. You contribute the required margin and m.Stock funds the remaining eligible amount. m.Stock currently advertises up to 80% funding across 1,100+ stocks, subject to stock-specific margin and risk rules.
m.Stock's current Pay Later page shows slab-based MTF interest. Funding up to ₹25 lakh is shown at 14.99% p.a., funding above ₹25 lakh up to ₹5 crore at 9.99% p.a., and funding above ₹5 crore at 8.99% p.a.. Rates can change, so the live m.Stock order screen and tariff should remain the source of truth.
m.Stock calculates MTF interest on the gross amount funded by the broker for the number of days the funding remains outstanding. The applicable rate depends on the funding slab, which is why a trading journal should keep funded amount, applicable rate and holding days together.
The current Pay Later page shows 0.0411% per day for funding up to ₹25 lakh, 0.0274% per day for funding above ₹25 lakh up to ₹5 crore, and 0.0246% per day above ₹5 crore.
m.Stock currently advertises up to 80% funding on eligible Pay Later trades. The exact funding percentage depends on the stock. The m.Stock MTF stock list shows the funding percentage and maximum exposure allowed for each eligible security.
m.Stock currently markets Pay Later across 1,100+ stocks and ETFs. The live MTF stock list can change, and funding percentage and maximum exposure are stock-specific, so eligibility should be checked before every new funded position.
m.Stock currently advertises an unlimited holding period for Pay Later positions, provided the required margin, interest and other obligations continue to be maintained. An unlimited holding period does not remove the daily financing cost.
Current m.Stock pricing lists ₹10 per order brokerage. Pay Later pledge creation and closure are currently listed at ₹32 + GST per PSN, while applicable sell transactions can also attract ₹18 + GST DP charges along with statutory charges. MTF funding interest is separate from these transaction costs.
m.Stock currently advertises ₹0 subscription charges for Pay Later MTF. Funding interest, brokerage, pledge charges, DP charges and statutory transaction costs can still apply.
Yes. m.Stock provides a Pay Later MTF calculator that shows your capital, the amount funded by m.Stock, buy value, sell value, transaction charges, interest and net P&L based on the stock, quantity and holding period.
m.Stock provides a dedicated MTF Ledger under Reports. The ledger includes new MTF transactions, margin transfers, MTF interest-payment charges and closing entries, which makes it useful for reconciling funded amount and actual financing cost with your journal.
m.Stock requires the applicable margin to be maintained while an MTF position remains open. Its current terms allow positions to be squared off for margin shortfall or MTM loss. The terms also describe immediate risk action when MTM loss crosses the prescribed threshold, so margin changes should be treated as part of the trade record.
m.Stock can square off Pay Later positions when required margin is not maintained, MTM risk becomes excessive, a stock becomes ineligible, pledge requirements are not completed or another broker risk condition is triggered. The applicable deadline depends on the reason for the shortfall or risk action.
Track position value, your capital, amount funded by m.Stock, funding percentage, interest slab, daily interest, holding days, brokerage, pledge charges, margin changes, MTF Ledger entries, gross P&L and final net P&L. That makes it possible to judge the leveraged position after its real financing cost.
Yes. QbarTrade helps organise m.Stock funded positions around your own capital, broker-funded capital, holding days, financing cost, charges, notes and net P&L so Pay Later trades can be reviewed as funded trades rather than ordinary delivery positions.
